My Bucket List


Or specifically, the things I want to do before I'm fifty. I remember making this list after watching the movie, but I didn't have a blog then (or wasn't that active) so I'm making a new one right now:
  1. Write a novel
  2. Win the Palanca
  3. Have my own car before the age of thirty
  4. Have my own house before the age of thirty
  5. Have my own vacation house (by the beach or in Tagaytay)
  6. Go on a European tour (UK, France, Greece, Spain, Luxembourg, Russia, Austria, Italy)
  7. Watch a play on Broadway
  8. Ride a horse
  9. Ride a hot-air balloon
  10. Get a driver’s license
  11. Be a millionaire
  12. Climb a mountain
  13. Go camping overnight with no electricity
  14. Learn to bake
  15. Paint
  16. Visit 20 countries (so far, only 9 including PH: Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Macau, Hongkong, and US)
  17. Visit 100 islands in the Philippines (so far, only 10: Luzon, Coron, Dimakya Island, Cebu, Boracay, Kalibo, Bohol, Virgin Island, Balicasag Island, Potipot)
  18. Have two kids
  19. Go to the Vatican City and Versailles with the hubby
  20. Go on a cruise
  21. See the snow
  22. Attend a red carpet event in an evening gown
  23. Renew our wedding vows at the Vatican City
  24. Go scuba diving
  25. Go to Batanes and have my picture taken on top of the cliff which was used as the setting for the movie Hihintayin Kita sa Langit
  26. Go to Disney World and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter - yey! Did this last October! :)
  27. Cut my hair and get blunt bangs
  28. Get my waist line back to 24 inches and my weight back to 108 lbs.
  29. Start my own business before I’m thirty-five
  30. Retire by the age of 45 (about the time Joey graduates from college)
  31. Work as a volunteer for an orphanage or home for the aged
  32. Learn to speak and write Spanish fluently
  33. Have a Spanish-colonial style house with a big garden and fountain at the bag (think of the old wooden houses in Vigan with capiz windows and terraces with carved balustrade and railings and a big reception area/parlor)
  34. Have a star named after me
  35. Watch Christina Aguilera in concert - VIP seats!
  36. See the Pope
  37. Go on a safari
  38. Swim with dolphins
  39. Get a fish massage
  40. Read all the novels of the ff: Jane Austen/Arthur Conan Doyle/Bram Stoker/Anne Rice

    It doesn't really matter if anyone cares - I write on this space because I want to share bits and pieces of my life, hoping it inspires or at least entertain other people.n

    But for what it' worth, yes, I do think a handful of people actually care. I have friends who read this blog and I know they do care, as I care about them and their blogs.

    PS: I hope your question was only out sheer curiosity and not asked out of a very mean streak. And I wished you'd left your name so I could address you personally. But thank you for asking anyway and I hope you have a great day.
